  • Essential: a session cookie (PHPSESSID) and a cookie that remembers your cookie choice (cookie_consent). These do not require consent.
  • Optional: analytics or marketing tools from third parties are loaded only if you click “Accept all”. If we enable such a tool, it is listed in the Cookie Policy.

Who we share data with

We share personal data only with service providers that help us run the Website, acting on our instructions, such as our web hosting provider. If you accept optional analytics or marketing tools, the provider of that tool also receives data about your visit, as described in the Cookie Policy. We may disclose data where required by law or to protect our rights.

Our hosting provider and any optional third-party tools you accept may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where this happens we rely on the safeguards required by data protection law, such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep data

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected for. Contact enquiries are kept while we deal with your request and for reasonable record-keeping afterwards. Account data is kept while your account is open. Visit statistics are kept in an aggregated or hashed form. You can ask us to delete your data at any time (see below).

Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation you have the right to access your personal data, have it corrected or erased, restrict or object to its processing, and receive it in a portable format. Where we rely on consent you can withdraw it at any time without affecting earlier processing. To exercise a right, contact us through our contact page and describe your request; we may need to verify your identity, and we will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, please contact us first. You also have the right to complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie) or your local supervisory authority.

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and hashed passwords. No system is completely secure, so please contact us promptly if you think your account has been compromised.

The Website is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

We will update this policy when our practices change and revise the “Last updated” date above.
